Trump makes a comment about "Black jobs" and "the Blacks", neither Biden nor CNN pushed back. Jack didn't seem to think that instance of racism was noteworthy enough for this piece.
I've been a subscriber to this blog since the beginning. I may not read everything but I want to support journalism. Not everything that comes out has to be about my interests. However, in a piece this long, that references Trump's racism and Biden's lack of pushback, it's notable that only one instance of racism made this piece. The lack of pushback from the author with respect to the anti-Black racism is as noteworthy as Biden's lack of pushback last night. Black people notice. We definitely notice.

I did laugh when Trump didn’t automatically say he’d refuse to recognize any Palestinian state and instead reflexively went to his old “we’ll have to see” chestnut. Those goons at AIPAC must’ve been seething about that which, good, die angry.
Anyways, that was like watching elder abuse. I tapped out about sixty minutes in because Jfc was that a grim spectacle. Joe looked and sounded like the literal embodiment of death. I fucking hate this country.
This is the Democratic Party though, right? They hold onto things that worked 20 years ago because it worked 20 years ago and so it should work now. They make sure everyone waits their "turn." They engage in "machine" politics so much more than Republicans and forget to actually upgrade the damn thing once in a while.

A friend of mine floated this as a conspiracy theory yesterday before the debate. That Biden was being set up to fail. I brushed it off but after last night idk, wouldn’t surprise me.

Biden's debate performance reminded me of when my 19-year-old cat starts sundowning and stalks his pacifist (and nondemented) 16-year-old adoptive brother. Fortunately, he always forgets what he's doing before he can actually violate his victim.
I'm Canadian and I'm furious. I watched the debate for an hour and 15 mins and it was AWFUL. It wasn't even a debate, because one guy wants to bring in fascism and the other guy is the one we decided should stand for democracy. ARGH.

Those are certainly reasons she’s unpopular but it doesn’t explain all of it. She’s frankly just…weird and off putting in her delivery and appearance. Take your pick: her diatribe on the passage of time (really any time she discusses the concept of time which is frankly a lot), the video of her singing ‘the wheels on the bus’ off-key and off-beat and cackling like a comic book villain, the many other times where she’s looked barred up on camera, etc. For someone whose job was ostensibly convincing juries they were credible she is shockingly bad at public speaking.

I just stumbled upon this. This reflects my sentiments EXACTLY. My mom, who is a die hard DNC/MSNBC fan, has even accepted reality. She and I have had numerous fights about Biden, particularly his Gaza Debacle/genocide enabling, but she finally has seen reality. Excellent article 👏

Especially egregious is Biden not shutting down his comments about Northam. Gov. Northam was describing a horrific situation some parents are forced to deal with. Trump turned his compassionate answer into something vile beyond the pale.
I'm beyond angry Biden was able to speak in a loud clear voice today when nobody is watching. How did his team not put his physical health first?
