Something about a boy crying wolf.

AP reported that "concerning vitals" quote is from COS Meadows, too, which just makes it yet more insane. is Meadows at odds with Trump?? not to mention the most recent statement from Dr. Conley incorrectly spells Regeneron, misattributes a statement to himself, and isn't signed by anyone?? hard to imagine they could handle this any worse than they are.

oh, and Regeneron had to cleanup the statement further to say that it's actually two monoclonal antibodies and not a polyclonal antibody therapy as that masterclass statement reads.

See, and all this would be grossly incompetent if your company was rolling out, say, a new product...but this is the WHITE HOUSE and the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, not version 3.0 of the new colored Post-It note. I mean, we could get 4 of us together right now and handle this better than they are currently.

Trust is in pretty dang short supply when it comes to the Trump administration. It's really sad that we can't trust a single word coming out of the White House.

My significant other brought up the term "Kremlinology" today, as a hearkening back to the time when a whole school of thought was given to trying to piece together the truth from a statement or communication that was obviously false or misleading from a corrupt government lackey.

No further comment needed, other than it's just, I don't know, sad that we now have to apply it to our own government. Y'know, more than usual.

Kremlinology is of little value, in my book, when it comes to the Trump Administration. You can't piece together the truth from their statements because their statements are not constructed from a starting point of concealing a specific fact. They are not people who can be said to be capable of knowing things, so they cannot really even lie. They think and feel and then they say the things they think and feel.

The only purpose of Trumpology, then, is to soothe one's own mind by divining what the thoughts and feelings originally were, before they were given more mundane form as official statements, tweets, and spoken sentences. In so doing, one can finally go to sleep instead of spending eight hours in bed, wide awake, wondering what the fuck the President meant with his cryptic reference to Hillary Clinton during the debate.

Point well-made. It's a little different when the purpose isn't to lie strategically, but rather to lie because it seems like the best thing to do at the time.
