If I were Penn State, I would not be reminding people of what the school is best known for by having people whose whole schtick is calling people "groomers" speak on campus.

"What exactly did Penn think was going to happen?"

I get what you mean from context, of course, but "Penn" is the University of Pennsylvania, not another name for Pennsylvania State University.

What if a right-wing ghoul showed up and nobody came?

I mean, it is patently obvious that demonstration was the point, and Big Gavin was jerking it to those demonstrations because libs were being pwned left and right! And while I'm a firm believer in the Sir Thomas More principle of "Silence is implied consent", maybe simply ignoring these motherfuckers is the way forward?

Disagree. Where is the black panther in you. Speak out and act against those that spew hatred. Don't stick your head in the sand. IMHO.

Look, fuck Penn State and all but aren't the "counter-protestors" in this quote the Proud Boys who incited the violence? Far be it for me to give the benefit of the doubt to any person in power issuing a statement about a situation that they created, but in this one case, I read it as tut-tutting the Proud Boys and not the people who were protesting the talk, who would in this case be the protestors, not the counter-protestors. The counter-protestors are those who show up to protest the protestors, no?

But still, fuck Benapudi, fuck Penn State, and fuck the police.
