"but in 2009 when we had Obama in the White House and a veto-proof Senate and control of the House of Representatives, we still got an Obamacare that ended up carving out the ability to access abortion. I don't believe in elections anymore. I believe in providing care directly to people."

Agreed. I know it's true but every time I see it written out it just twists the knife even further. Been thinking a lot about how Obama's presidency will be remembered by history (if anyone is even still writing history by that point lmao) and I really, really hope it is not a gauzy recollection. Just an absolute moral, ethical, and political selling out of the movement that made him president. I hope it torments him, but I know that's wishful thinking.

Am I wrong about that? What's going on there?
