I like how both NPR and PBS are seen as liberal news organizations, but it's rarely mentioned (and constantly overlooked) how their programming is underwritten by some real world-class right wing goons and their nonprofit orgs.
This IS liberalism now. You have Pelosi and Congressional Dems insisting that everything be means-tested. You had Obama bailing out (and employing the heads of) corporations. This is how liberals are. I have to call myself a Democratic Socialist in this country in order to align myself with ideas that are barely center-left anywhere else in the developed world.
This is an important story, because the corporatocracy is doing everything it can to silence the counter-narrative to this austerity-loving bullshit. (Not interviewing a single employee, purposely omitting that this was the owner's choice, destroying websites like splinter dot com, etc)
This is just the 2020 version of the "guy uses food stamps to buy lobster" story. It will provide fuel for the dipshit right, and not a single mainstream news outlet will bother to question it.

I stopped listening as soon as they began each hour by saying "Thank you to our sponsors, Koch Industries"
A typical Nice Polite Republicans one-sided economics business story.
Libby Watson did a really nice take on this as well.
