The indigo bunting 1st observed at woods edge along a prairie sanctuary in Madison, WI IS a memory I'll take to the grave. Happy birding folks.

Protesting this and all future rounds as illegitimate because I refuse to believe my beloved shoebill could lose. Clearly, some dominion-esque voting shenanigans have gone down and, sadly, even Discourse Blog has now become part of the deep state matrix cathedral. No worry, the shoebill storm is coming and patriots (i.e., those of us who still support and have not abandoned the virtuous, mighty, very handsome shoebill) will soon be in control once more. From hell’s heart I stab at thee indigo bunting!!!

"i've said it before and i'll say it again, democracy simply doesn't work" — kent brockman, and also me every time one of my faves gets eliminated in this tournament

Anyone who says my insistence on ending democracy simply because my favorite fowl was eliminated is an overreaction is clearly a hologram clone disseminating fake news and will be detained at gitmo.

Sure the Kea likes to tear apart police cars, but do they spend years training their offspring to air-drop bones on the choicest rocks as their forebears did before them? Is there anything cooler than that?

The Lammergeier is the only correct answer in this and all past and future questions.

Round 2 picks: 5/8. 11/24 overall, which is 46% and close to 6 times better than my 8% and 7% records in this year's NCAA mens and womens tournaments so far.

Taking the crow over the indigo bunting because as much as I love the way buntings bring the "How can that color exist in nature?" style, I am going with the corvids so I don't wake up to find my car keys stolen by a vengeful crow.

Sticking with the flicker and the hummingbird all the way.

The Kea gets my vote for the ACAB vibes.

The most socialist birds are losing? Scandalous!

The *most* socialist bird, the acorn woodpecker, was sadly not in the bracket. :(
