"if only he was more like reagan" is so at odds with that bastard's actual deeds that it could only have come from the modern democratic party

It was insane that the Democrats even attended.

It was sad to hear the plan of color coordinated clothes. But some would wear pink. And some black. And then some blue/yellow. And of course 80% didn't do shit. LIKE WTF? You can't even pull off a group T Shirt thing?

It was maddening to see Al Green step up and fight, and then no one, not a single fucking person, followed it up. Instead of walking out - nothing. Instead of having someone get booted every minute and causing disruption, nothing.

It was laughable that the Democrats stayed and let Trump kick them in the teeth over and over and over and they just smiled and played with their ping pong paddles. Elizabeth Warren just clapping away after that fuckstain called her Pocahontus? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. How did they not all walk out then and there?

And then to cap it all off, the Senate Democrats are mad today. Not at the abuser dishing it out. Not at Trump shitting on them all night. Not at Trump admitting over and over crimes like impounding. Not at the manhandling of a senator. The Senate Democrats are disappointed today about the "breaks in decorum" last night. From the Democrats.

Nothing, I mean nothing, defines these feckless cowards more than being angry at the decorum of their own party.

And OF COURSE, 10 feckless fucking cowards voted to censure Al Green. 10 pathetic losers that should be primaried to hell.

You had a slam dunk option. Everyone shows up in blue and yellow. If you have to attend quit with the signs. Sit there stone faced and then walk out.

An ailing 77 year old was the only real show of defiance yesterday? And then we get a former spook talking about the auspices of fucking Reagan?

These fuckers are way too comfortable.

Aside from praising a guy who left office when you were 12 and who was still a monster just less of a monster than what came after:

I know this is hard to fathom for all of the democrats who were in Washington 40 years ago and who remain in office today, but nobody under the age of 45 has any tangible memory of Reagan whatsoever.

I'm not saying the Dems should do exactly what the opposition party in Serbia is doing, but ... https://youtu.be/3eiuPAUzips?feature=shared&t=641

Buttigieg was a disastrous transportation secretary (Remember East Palestine?). Why would anyone want him talking about plane crashes?

Because he’s an effective communicator and good on tv which is basically all that matters if you’re trying to counter the gop’s near total control over the national narrative

Surely there are other good communicators who are good on TV and weren't disasters as transportation secretary (including giving an interview after East Palestine talking about how the job didn't take up a lot of brain space).

What's the plan when Trump, Musk, or anyone claims the plane crashes are part of the incompetent department of transportation Trump inherited from Buttigieg & its going to take Trump longer than 45 days to fix the mess Buttigieg made? Not say that's true, but there's no way that doesn't come up

In the democratic party? Who have the name recognition of Pete and the ostensible qualifications to talk about it? Not really. Everything else you're saying I think is just a question of rhetoric

The author writes "Americans yearn for an era where America was strong — not one where it was applying that strength."

Reagan did apply that strength, but he did it through the force of his personality. Democrats could try something like this:

Trump leads a nation that is 13 times richer than Putin’s. Yet he acts like a pussy when he deals with him, offering to roll over and just give him everything he wants. A real leader would offer a deal that reflects American strength--withdraw entirely from Ukraine back to the 2014 borders and we will withdraw from NATO.

It is American power that made NATO a threat to Russia. A NATO without the US, even with Ukraine as a member, is not a serious threat to Russia, which is why Putin has long wanted this. A strong leader would make Putin give up something for what he wants. Yet Trump plans to give it to him for free!

Why is Trump so intimidated by a man half his size?
