I would think that Harris praising immigration as an engine of economic growth would be a winning move. But apparently that's something she isn't willing to say. Even some of the most progressive House members are silent. The only strong statement of condemnation I can find is Biden's.
On Peter Beinart’s substack he talks about how he wishes Harris had made a liberal defence of immigration. No one’s expecting the Dems to be border abolitionist communists but it’s very grim when the ostensibly liberal party can’t even make the point that immigration is good and necessary for the country
