Totally here for this skewering of Schumer. Dem leadership is awful and old. If you add up Chuck, Nancy, and Steny's ages and subtract from now we would be back in the 1790s or some shit.
Also, as a native of Colorado and a resident of the state Hick has always been a joke. Hes a relic of when the state was still deep red and only in that light could be seen as a democrat. Gardner is toast but Hick is bad and id like to see him not be Gardners opponent.
sorry, are you arguing that Chuck Schumer would rather have a majority of socialists than a minority of right-wing Democrats? because I don't buy it. a majority of socialists would be agitating for change that the Democratic donor base would oppose. it's much easier for Schumer to hang out in a minority, look like he's fighting the good fight while avoiding any sort of move to redistribute wealth to the people. the fact that (as you point out) he's terrible at even just doing that is hilarious.
I agree that Chuck Schumer sucks intensely, but it appears that you don't know very much about politics in at least Kansas (which I only know about because I live here). Barbara Bollier is a very strong candidate, regardless of previously being a republican - she's a moderate and gives the Dems a fighting chance in a state where they are hopelessly outnumbered. The support from Gov. Kelly (who has done a fucking amazing job with the pandemic response in the face of dipshit obstructionism from assholes like Susan Wagle) and Kathleen Sebelius who is the biggest Dem to come out of Kansas in forever tells you that she's an eminently better candidate than her opponent - Kris fucking Kobach. Lazily shitting on Bollier because you don't understand the landscape doesn't do a whole lot for the veracity of your political coverage.
